In Moore, Oklahoma

Guthrie’s got those red brick nights
Norman’s where the Sooners fight
In Tahlequah, the mighty Cherokee thrive
At Cain’s in Tulsa, the Troubadours play live

In Muskogee, squares still have a ball
Around Arbuckle you’ll find Turner Falls
Stillwater’s got Eskimo Joe’s
There’s fishing down in Broken Bow

I’ve been up and down this glorious state
but I’ve never seen it quite so great

Then when I’m heading south on 35
My heart pounding along the drive
A girl with dark eyes and auburn hair
Is waiting with that come get me stare

I just passed Toby Keith’s name on a water tower
My radio’s blaring “How Do You Like Me Now?!”
It’s worth every single mile
When I see her beautiful smile

In that cotton dress she looks a dream
There stands my red dirt queen
This whole state’s a damn fine place
But it’s hard to beat that unforgettable face

That’s why I’ve never held more of Oklahoma
Then I have in Moore, Oklahoma

I’ve seen noodling down in Pauls Valley
Been storm watching around tornado alley
Thundering up in Oklahoma City
And those Sooner sunsets sure are pretty

Route 66 still brings the kicks
In Pawnee, there’s steak at Click’s
South of Ardmore, you’ll see the Red River
From Owasso to Altus this state will deliver

North South East and West
I still find Oklahoma at its best

When I’m heading south on 35
My heart pounding along the drive
A girl with dark eyes and auburn hair
Is waiting with that come get me stare

I just passed Toby Keith’s name on a water tower
My radio’s blaring “How Do You Like Me Now?!”
It’s worth every single mile
When I see her beautiful smile

In that cotton dress she looks a dream
There stands my red dirt queen
This whole state’s a damn fine place
But it’s hard to beat that unforgettable face

That’s why I’ve never held more of Oklahoma
Then I have in Moore, Oklahoma

I’ve never been in love
more with Oklahoma
Then when I’m holding a dark eyed beauty
In Moore, Oklahoma
